We discovered Laurien retiring in Gaye Jones' (Cathkin Collies) backyard in 2003. We thought that this dog still had much to offer, so after some begging he was allowed to come down to us for 3 months to be shown..........3 1/2 years later he is still here living on our couch.
Unlike many, Laurien is shown sparingly but he certainly has made his presence felt.
He has won BOB at Melbourne Royal twice, he is a multi Best In Group winner, a Multi Specialty CC winner and a mutli In Show winner. The ultimate win was Best In Show at the Collie Club of Victoria's Championship Show 2005 under Collie Specialist Mr G Duffield (UK), Runner Up In Show to him was his Grand Champion daughter (Cathkin Clingn Toa Cloud).
His pedigree is the combination of top Australian & UK Collies, and is bred/owned by the world famous Cathkin Kennels and is campaigned exclusively by us at Shanelg Kennels.
To date he is the sire of 14 Champions, including 2 Grand Champions, many In Show winners at both Specialty and Championship shows.
He is hip scored and eye checked.
