A fateful trip to Western Australia early 2005 was the beginning of another adventure for Shanelg Kennels. For it was this trip that we first saw Morgan. She was not entered at the shows we were attending but just happened to come for the ride with her breeder/owner Carol Watson (Tiakina Shelties). After talking with Carol and cuddling with Morgan it was decided that she was coming home that very weekend with us to be campaigned in the Eastern states. WOW has she out done everything we could ever had imagined for our little 'Handbag' She was a multi Res CC & RUBOB winner from the day she stepped into the ring in Minor Puppy class. Then the ultimate.......her first Best In Show (Mr S Oates - Ireland) at just under 14 months of age. We then took her home to Western Australia to show her 'WA Mum' how she had grown..........she was completely naked, choosing to leave her wardrobe behind on the east coast. This trip to WA she was awarded BOB and Junior In Show under Guy Jeavons (Grandgable Shelties - Canada). Our second specialty show with Morgan..............and Runner Up In Show for her (Shetland Sheepdog Club of Vic - Mrs Hutchison - UK)!!!
In 2007, Morgan was mated to Australian Grand & Canadian Champion Grandgables Zulu Warrior (Imp Canada) ROM. Her daugher is now being successfully campaigned in Victoria, and we look forward to her future with great excitement. Morgan re-entered the ring after a rest of some 12 months, winning Reserve CC at her first show out under a UK specialist!!



Morgan had a rest from the showring during July, whilst I travelled to Scandanavia to attend the World Dog Show and World Collie Show in Sweden. I also managed to visit a number of Collie and Sheltie kennels in Finland, Sweden and Denmark. It was wonderful to catch up with both old and many new friends from all over the world!
At our first show out after arriving home, Morgan was awarded back to back Best in Groups at the Ladies Kennel Association Championship Shows, and was awarded
*** BEST IN SHOW ***
at the second of these shows. What a welcome home!!!
